These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the ChefWorthy website at https://www.chefworthy.pro (the "Website") and the ChefWorthy mobile apps for iOS and Android (the "App"), together with related services and products (collectively, the "Services"). The Services are provided by ChefWorthy, LLC ("ChefWorthy," "we," "us," or "our").

These Terms incorporate any other operating rules, policies, and guidelines we publish, including our Privacy Policy (https://www.chefworthy.pro/info/privacy) and any community guidelines. If there is a conflict between these Terms and any community guidelines, these Terms govern.

By using the Services, creating an account, subscribing, or submitting a review, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. Eligibility and Accounts

1.1 We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, limited right to access and use the Services. You must be at least 16 years old.

1.2 You may register one account per person, using an email address or a supported sign-in provider (Google, Apple, or LinkedIn). Your account is personal and may not be transferred.

1.3 You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.

1.4 We may suspend, change, or delete an account (and its content) at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law, or to protect the Services or other users.

2. Membership and Billing

2.1 ChefWorthy offers an optional auto-renewing annual membership sold as a subscription through the Apple App Store and Google Play. The price is shown in the App before you purchase.

2.2 Payment is charged to your app-store account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the then-current price.

2.3 Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings. We cannot cancel store subscriptions on your behalf.

2.4 Except where required by law or by the applicable app store's policies, payments are non-refundable, and there are no refunds or credits for partial periods. Refund requests for app-store purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.

2.5 We may change subscription pricing or features prospectively; changes apply to renewals after we provide notice as required.

3. Rewards

3.1 Members may earn rewards (such as experience points) for qualifying activity and may redeem them for gift cards, subject to program rules and any redemption limits described in the App.

3.2 Rewards have no cash value, are non-transferable, and may be modified or discontinued at any time. We may withhold or revoke rewards obtained through fraud, abuse, or violation of these Terms.

4. Reviews and User-Generated Content

4.1 License. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, sublicensable right and license to host, store, publish, display, reproduce, modify, create derivative works of, and otherwise use any content you submit — including reviews, ratings, posts, comments, notes, photos, and voice recordings (collectively, "User-Generated Content" or "UGC") — to operate, provide, and promote the Services. You retain ownership of your UGC.

4.2 You are responsible for your UGC and warrant that it is accurate (where it states facts) or genuinely held (where it states opinions), and that you have the rights necessary to submit it.

4.3 UGC must relate to a product, service, company, or organization that you have actually purchased, used, or can otherwise document. You may submit only your own experiences — not those of family, friends, or others.

4.4 You may not submit UGC about a company if you are or were its employee, owner, or executive, or a family member of one. You may submit only one piece of UGC per transaction per company.

4.5 You must not submit UGC that:

  • is of a marketing nature or has marketing purposes;
  • is unlawful, deceptive, misleading, fraudulent, threatening, abusive, harassing, libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, or profane;
  • is hateful or discriminatory;
  • violates others' rights, including intellectual-property, privacy, or publicity rights;
  • reveals another person's private information;
  • violates any applicable law or these Terms; or
  • is technically harmful (viruses, malware, corrupted data, etc.).

4.6 Incentive disclosure. Some reviews may be created in connection with an incentive (such as reward points). Where that is the case, we indicate it so readers can weigh the review accordingly.

4.7 We may investigate, edit (including anonymizing), or remove UGC that we believe violates these Terms or the law, or in response to third-party or legal requests. We may request documentation supporting your UGC.

4.8 You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any third-party claim or loss arising from your UGC or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

5. Reporting and Abuse

5.1 Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior. There is no tolerance for objectionable content (including content that is unlawful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, hateful, or discriminatory) or for abusive users on the Services. Submitting such content or engaging in abusive behavior is a material breach of these Terms.

5.2 Reporting. You may report UGC or users that violate these Terms using the in-app reporting tools available on posts, comments, reviews, messages, and profiles. Do not misuse the reporting tools (for example, mass-reporting accurate reviews of a company you dislike, or repeatedly reporting already-reviewed content). Misuse is itself a material breach.

5.3 Blocking. You may block any user. Blocking immediately removes that user's content from your feed and prevents them from contacting you. You may manage blocked users at any time in your account settings.

5.4 Our response. We review reports of objectionable content and act on them within 24 hours by removing the offending content and, where warranted, ejecting the user who submitted it. We may also investigate, edit (including anonymizing), suspend, or terminate accounts in connection with violations of these Terms.

5.5 Threats against ChefWorthy personnel are a material breach and may result in immediate account termination and a report to the authorities.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: scrape, data-mine, crawl, or harvest content; reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code; access the Services through automated means except as we expressly permit; interfere with or disrupt the Services or their security; circumvent access or usage limits; or use the Services for any unlawful purpose.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 The Services, including all underlying technology, software, text, graphics, icons, and other content (other than UGC), and all related intellectual-property rights, are and remain our property or that of our licensors, and are protected by law. No rights are granted except as expressly stated in these Terms.

7.2 You may download or copy content only for personal, non-commercial use, unless we agree otherwise in writing or applicable law permits. Company names, trademarks, and logos may be used only with the owner's prior approval.

7.3 If you provide feedback, ideas, or suggestions, we may use them freely without obligation to you.

8. App Stores (Apple and Google)

8.1 You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and ChefWorthy only, and not with Apple or Google. ChefWorthy, not Apple or Google, is solely responsible for the App and its content.

8.2 Apple and Google have no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App. To the extent any warranty applies and is not effectively disclaimed, a refund (if any) is the responsibility of the applicable app store, not Apple or Google as a platform.

8.3 You must comply with the applicable app store's terms of service. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, https://www.chefworthy.pro/info/privacy, which describes how we collect, use, and share information. By using the Services you acknowledge you have read it. You may delete your account in the App (Settings → Delete Account), at https://www.chefworthy.pro/delete-account, or by emailing support@chefworthy.pro.

10. Disclaimers

10.1 THE SERVICES AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF NON-INFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY, AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. THE SERVICES MAY BE MODIFIED, INTERRUPTED, OR DISCONTINUED AT ANY TIME.

10.2 Reviews, ratings, and other UGC are provided by users and are not endorsements by us. AI-assisted features (such as equipment identification and voice transcription) may be inaccurate; verify important information independently. We disclaim all liability for UGC and for third-party links or content.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ChefWorthy and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from or related to your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD $100.

12. Term and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time. You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time. Sections 4, 7, 8, 10, 11, and 13–14 survive termination.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms and your relationship with ChefWorthy are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Illinois, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act and may remove infringing material and terminate repeat infringers. Send notices to support@chefworthy.pro.

15. Changes and Miscellaneous

15.1 We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated Effective Date; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

15.2 If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; any attempt to do so is void. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and ChefWorthy regarding the Services and supersede prior agreements.
