One of the best- In my opinion.

The door swings open so hard when opening that it often slams into another piece of equipment. You can stop it, but not if your hands are full

Features that mattered

Alto-Shaam is known for its halo heat, however, I feel their Combi is one of their strongest pieces based on versatility and ease of use. Once programmed and trained- the operation can ensure close to flawless execution.

This equipment surprised me with all of the features that it has and how well they all work. The large touch screen is also inviting and user friendly.

What works

Extremely versatile piece of equipment
Very large and able to fit more food than normal in at one time

What doesn't

The equipment takes a bit of training to use effectively and at times it is not the easiest to teach to more experienced (older) chefs

Features that mattered

The ability to have steam cooking, steam and heat, and just straight heat. Fan control on this equipment is also very easy and there are many settings. Lastly the self-cleaning is an amazing feature and works extremely well.

What they would change

The latching of the handle is not always great and needs to be adjusted from time to time. Also the drip troth on the bottom front gets clogged easily.

Probably the best combi oven on the market.

The ovens cook very even.
We enjoy the many features such as the high fan power & steaming options.

What doesn't

Occasionally we had minor errors that we were able to get warrantied.

Made in USA the factory is located 2 hours down the road. The Alto Shaam brand is also built very sturdy.
